GFL Trash


 

Champions Park has contracted with GFL Environmental to provide residential waste collection services to our neighborhood. Summarized below are key points from the service agreement, please remember to adhere to these agreements to ensure GFL continues to provide efficient services to Champions Park. GFL Environmental purchased WCA (who our contract was formerly with). As such, the guidelines on the right still say “WCA”.

.    Cans and bags should not be placed at curb and should be kept behind fence or near garage for pick up days.

·      GFL collects waste placed in bags, containers and bundles twice per week, Wednesday and Saturday.  Recyclables will be collected once per week on Wednesday.  Bundles of brush trimmings and/or unrecycled newspapers, magazines, etc. should not exceed 40 pounds.

·      Collection is limited to 5 bags and containers placed at the ‘backdoor’ of each residence.  The ‘backdoor’ is considered to be the area immediately adjacent to and in front of the residence overhead garage door and/or gate access.

·      Bags and containers should be clearly visible to GFL personnel upon approach to the garage area.  Access should be direct and unobstructed.  GFL personnel will not enter any garage or gated enclosures.

·      GFL will also collect a maximum of 10 bags and bundles.  These bundles should be placed within 3 feet of the curb.  GFL is not obligated to collect beyond this maximum and may charge additional fees for excess accumulation.

·      GFL will also collect bulky waste on Saturday.  Bulky waste is considered to be white goods, furniture, and other oversize wastes that are customary to ordinary housekeeping of a residence and whose large size precludes or complicates its handling by normal solid waste collection. Bulky waste does not include construction debris generated by contractors performing renovation work.

·      GFL personnel are not required to expose themselves to vicious animals.

It it the residents responsibility to set up your trash service, this is NOT included in your HOA yearly dues.
